I have always carried some type of touchstone every day for most of my adult life, when I need to feel grounded or connected to my spiritual side I reach into my pocket and hold my touchstone in my hand or in my mind's eye and know I am connected to something much bigger than myself.

 

While I am making each of the touchstones to share, I am continually reminded that we are all made from the same stuff, the same stardust if you will, and like each of the touchstones, we all look different. Each touchstone is made from glass, one touchstone at a time, and each touchstone looks different, like all of us who are made from the same stardust and are wonderfully our own creation of Father's love.

Why I ask are touchstones so important considering today’s technology-laden world? I worked as an electrical engineer for 40+ years specializing in receivers that are devices used to capture all the information being sent through the air, and transmitters, which are devices used to send information from one place to another.

​

So why do we need touchstones in today's world, when we have this technology that is used to communicate our ideas, information, desires, demands, to do’s, got to get it done now, to anyone you happen to have their unique social identity.

 

When I look at what we have now I come up with two distinct thoughts.
